  • Here We Go Again

April is upon us, and here I am, back after how many months? Five months? Oh well.

School is still as hectic as ever, especially with research papers and AP exams. But guess what? College is in the fall! Ah yes, the time when we teens break away from our over-protective parents and start a journey on "discovering ourselves."

I just can't wait to get away from Montgomery and move to Huntsville. University of Alabama in Huntsville, baby! What's my major you may ask? Double major-Atmospheric Sciences and German. A lovely combination, don't you think?

I have a new music obsession you guys. It used to be My Chemical Romance, but now it's Halestorm. Have you heard of them? The lead singer is AMAZING. There needs to be more female rock singers. True rock singers.

Eh, not a long post this time. I just wanted to actually get something up, but now I'm off to bed to face another horrible day at school. Wish me luck guys!

  • A Quick Update

    Merry Christmas!

This will only be a quick update.

Well, the semester if finally over, and I only have one more semester of high school left. Am I nervous? Yes. Excited? Yes. I can't believe that I will be graduating soon and moving four hours away next fall. Where does the time go? Oh, for those wanting to know, I will be more than likely attending University of Alabama at Huntsville, majoring in Physics. I will just be happy at the distant between my new home and old home.

Update on my chronic illness: I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. After starting the medication, I have felt ten times better, and I have even lost weight! I had a change to develop Type 1 Diabetes because of it, but let's hope that never happens.

This is all for now. Zoom zoom!

  • Sorry for the Absence

It's been a while since I've last blogged. Since July? I may have an excuse, or I may not. Depending on how you look at it. There are two reasons for my absence.

One: school. I have five Advanced Placement classes, on top of college applications, so I've been extremely busy this year.

Two: I've been chronically ill. I've had this illness for over two years now, and it's been getting worse. I went to the doctor recently, and I will have my results Monday.

So this will be a short blog, but an awesome one is on your way!

    Defeating "the man"

This year, every school in my country has to wear the atrocity that is uniforms. The good news is that they're not being very strict. We just have to wear the school colors in shirts with a collar.

I've been thinking, why not wear quirky and unique accessories? I already have some steampunk accessories, and today I bought knee-high converse with buckles on the side and four stockings-one paisley, one lace pattern, one teal, and one raspberry. Some of my white button-up shirts contain crazy buttons. I'm determined to do everything possible to make myself seem like a unique individual in a school system of drones.

So, what do you think? What would you suggest to add?

  • Which country are you planning or hoping to visit next and why?

As a lover of the world, there are many places I'm hoping to visit next, but one that may be a reality.

Next summer, I may be able to go to Taiwan, which would be amazing. I learned Chinese in school last year, and I love it. A local university hosts a program where 15 lucky Alabama students get to go to Taiwan for six weeks, and every student that applies gets accepted, because not that many applies. So I am applying this fall, and since I will hopefully be taking Chinese, I am guaranteed a spot. A trip to Taiwan would mean everything to me, just like visiting Africa this summer was.

I just answered this Featured Question; you can answer it too!
